Adopting a new dog is one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences! They change your life in so many ways. However, we always encourage potential adopters to please do some research before adding a new dog to their family. As fun as they are, dogs are a commitment for the next 10-15 years of your life and can require lots of time, expenses, and of course love!
This doesn’t mean you have to have acres of land or need to clear the next ten years of your life, but you should make sure you are prepared and ready to take on this exciting responsibility.

When we welcome a dog, we make a commitment to placing them in a loving foster home where they receive all the love and personalized care they deserve until they find their forever home. Our foster volunteers live with and treat their fosters as one of their own, meaning that they have a great understanding of how that dog will likely do in your home. They get to know all their quirks, goofy habits, and even their favorite spots to be pet!

Most of our dogs come from partner rescuers in rural areas. They are rescued from unfortunate situations such as homelessness or abandonment, often never knowing what it feels like to be warm, full, and safe. Many arrive malnourished, with mange, or just in need of some love! We also welcome dogs when their owners can no longer care for them for one reason or another.
Our fosters work to heal each dog, both medically and mentally, and find them loving homes when they’re ready.
